Sennelier Oil Stick 38ml

Sennelier Oil Sticks are made of artist quality oil paint in a solid format. A proportion of oil is substituted with a neutral mineral wax, resulting in the stick appearance. Oil sticks can be used in conjunction with oil paint or in their own right. They are ideal for bold, gestural mark-making.
 
Sennelier Oil Sticks contain the highest quality pure pigments ground into vegetable oils selected for their low degree of yellowing over time. Oil sticks offer the same advantages as oil paint. The suppleness of use enables you to experiment with a variety of techniques. Contrary to oil paint, the drying process for the surface colour film is rather quick; usually, it takes a day. Before using an oil stick for the very first time, peel off the thin dry skin in order to release the paint. This thin layer will form again after you have used it.
 
Sennelier Oil Sticks are designed to be applied to conventional oil painting supports whether oil or universally primed. Suitable supports include canvas, canvas boards, painting panels, and primed paper.
